Bio

Avery is a first-year student at King Hall with an interest in environmental and energy law. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and studied Environmental Design and Urban Planning at CU Boulder, graduating in 2016. During undergrad, Avery received Magna Cum Laude honors for his undergraduate thesis studying the complexities of the New Urbanism movement and its impacts on the front range of Colorado. Avery joined SUN Studio after graduation where he worked as a designer and project manager developing two net-zero energy urban mixed-use neighborhoods built in the Denver area. Avery hopes to uniquely contribute to advocating and designing, through law, alternative paths for meaningful sustainable urban development.
