The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a policy-focused network organized by the United Nations, recently published “America’s Zero Carbon Action Plan”.
This report integrates the findings of more than fifty experts and covers all sectors of the economy to identify technical and policy pathways to zero emission for the United States. The key finding is that a comprehensive strategy can lead to zero carbon future that also protects health, offers new high-quality jobs and economic opportunities, and establishes the country as the global leader fighting climate change. From UC Davis, Dan Sperling and Lew Fulton were two of the lead authors of the transportation chapter. The Policy Institute’s Austin Brown was a contributor.
